The Baker Hotel (Part 5)

Inside the Baker lobby.  As you may have guess or already know, this place is known for paranormal activity.  Click here to see the Ghost Adventures episode about the place.

And in its heyday:

The Baker Hotel (Part 4)

This is the back of the hotel, the service entrance.  This area has the only entry point we could find.

The northeast side of the property, including the pool area.  Enjoy!

The bridge from the hotel to the pool area.  The bridge is over an area that looks like it was for the service staff.

Service alley

I think this was a snack bar.

The Baker Hotel-Mineral Wells (Part 1)

Located at 200 E. Hubbard Street in Mineral Wells, the Baker Hotel has fascinated me for years.  I passed it driving out to the summer camp I went to on Possum Kingdom and always wondered about it.  I made the trip up there because there's been talk for several years of a restoration, but there were absolutely no signs that was going anywhere.  I'm going to divide the posts into several parts and insert historic photos intermittently.  This first post will be the front exterior.  Enjoy!
